I am Liza Standing Crane, a Medicine Woman rooted in the misty forests of Hogsback, in South Africa’s Eastern Cape.
My path has carried me through many landscapes while in search of my own healing — from a decade of working with traditional West African Medicine, to being called into the world of shamanism, where I have been entrusted with sacred, soul-centered practices that support deep personal transformation.
Through Soul Recovery, Extractions, Journey Work, and Soul Midwifery, I offer steady, compassionate guidance, holding space for the unseen, the unspoken, the sacred.
I am here to guide you through life’s significant transitions — moments of loss, identity shifts, emotional and spiritual challenges, and the profound journey at life’s end.
I invite you to explore your inner landscapes with me. Come reconnect with your essence, and find clarity and alignment on your unique path.
The path I follow is a heart-centered one and does not require entheogens to enable the work to be done. It uses heart intelligence, in sacred ceremonies, to direct healing energy.
Soul retrieval is a core practice in many shamanic traditions and is used to address a range of issues, including the effects of trauma, depression, anxiety, and a sense of disconnection from one's true self. This ancient healing technique is a profound holistic approach to emotional and spiritual well-being.
The ability to move from our 3D world into an altered state where original healing occurs is a valuable skill. Here we get to explore our inner realms with confidence, safety, and support. This sacred work can be applied to source and clear up issues. In this work, we communicate and work with our guides, and find places of peace, empowerment, and enjoyment.
As a Soul Midwife, my mission is to bring spirituality, through presence and ritual, back into the physical act of dying. I guide individuals and their families to make informed decisions, and provide a sense of comfort and support during this challenging time. I serve as a valuable resource for navigating the complexities of end-of-life
As a Soul Midwife, my mission is to bring spirituality, through presence and ritual, back into the physical act of dying. I guide individuals and their families to make informed decisions, and provide a sense of comfort and support during this challenging time. I serve as a valuable resource for navigating the complexities of end-of-life care and can help alleviate some of the stress and uncertainty that often accompany this stage of life.
After a decade of working with traditional West African Medicine (Iboga) to facilitate recovery from substance use disorders and certain psychological disorders, I was called to step into the world of shamanism where I was taught a range of soul-doctoring techniques over 6 years.
I was trained and initiated in the Red Road path by Lyn Spirit Eagle. Lyn was a student of Ai Gvhdi Waya, an Eastern Cherokee Metis Shaman whose heritage was passed on from her great-great-grandmother, a member of the Wolf Clan, and a medicine woman.
My gift as a Medicine Woman is to facilitate Soul Recovery & Extractions, Journey Work, and Soul Midwifery.
I am a certified Shamanic Counsellor for Crows' Nest Centre for Shamanic Studies. This centre was founded by C Mikkal Smith, a Shaman, Jungian psychologist, and medical anthropologist. Crows' Nest is a heart-open and earth-honoring community of trained shamanic facilitators who offer guidance to those interested in the shamanist way, Jungian psychological practices, and in healing and transformation.
As a trained and certified Soul Midwife (or Death Doula) my mission is to bring spirituality, through presence and ritual, back into the physical act of dying. I guide individuals and their families to make informed decisions, and provide a sense of comfort and support during this final chapter of life.
The path I follow is a heart-centered one and does not require entheogens to enable the work to be done. It uses heart intelligence, in sacred ceremonies, to direct healing energy.
